Can I carry on a guitar with Aeromexico, rather than checked luggage?

The guitar is in a soft road case, not a hard case. The flight is from Boston to Mexico City.

The regulations are :
normally it should weight more than12kg
and be longer than 115cm.

I would check with the airline to make sure, because the regulations are changing frequently
